ZR Talent Group is recruiting a qualified Remote Restaurant Operations & Toast POS Workflow Specialist — AI Research & Domain Evaluation for a 100% remote contract opportunity ($28 - $92/hour) open to candidates across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa. In this specialist engagement, you will collaborate with advanced AI research teams to design domain-specific evaluation scenarios, audit complex model reasoning, and establish gold-standard reference solutions in Toast POS, Restaurant Operations, Point of Sale (POS) Systems, Order & Payment Management.

Prior experience building machine learning systems is not required—our research partners value authentic practitioner judgment, domain rigor, and clear analytical writing.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Analyze and provide feedback on Toast POS workflows, including order entry, payment processing, and reporting features.
• Create scenario-based documentation and step-by-step guides reflecting real restaurant operations using Toast POS.
• Deliver comprehensive reviews of system functionalities, identifying opportunities for improvement and troubleshooting common pain points.
• Contribute detailed explanations of best practices for implementing, configuring, and optimizing Toast POS in a variety of restaurant settings.
• Annotate and evaluate authentic transaction data, menus, and order flows to enhance AI understanding of restaurant POS operations.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer by clearly articulating Toast POS concepts through both written and verbal communication.
• Participate in collaborative sessions to refine prompts, tasks, or datasets related to Toast POS and restaurant order management.

Required Qualifications & Technical Criteria

• Demonstrated professional or advanced academic background in Toast POS, Restaurant Operations, Point of Sale (POS) Systems, Order & Payment Management.
• Strong analytical writing and critical evaluation skills in English.
• Self-directed work ethic suited for an asynchronous, 100% remote research environment.

Preferred Experience & Bonus Attributes

• Currently employed in hospitality, using Toast POS in daily operations.
• Comprehensive command of operational workflows and how point of sale systems interface with order and payment processes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and accuracy.
• Proven ability to document processes and provide user-friendly explanations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Working knowledge of various restaurant concepts (quick service, casual, fine dining) and how POS requirements differ among them.
• Experience training, mentoring, or supporting others in adopting new restaurant technology solutions is a plus.
