Remote Recruitment Ops Manager — AI Research & Domain Evaluation

ZR Talent Group has an active remote opening for a Remote Recruitment Ops Manager — AI Research & Domain Evaluation ($35 - $55/hour). This flexible work-from-home role pairs experienced practitioners in Sourcing, Recruitment pipeline, Remote work self-management, Stakeholder communication with leading machine learning laboratories to author high-difficulty prompts, verify factual and technical rigor, and refine multi-step reasoning outputs.

Prior experience building machine learning systems is not required—our research partners value authentic practitioner judgment, domain rigor, and clear analytical writing.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Own day-to-day recruitment operations, ensuring smooth candidate tracking, timely follow-ups, reminders, and momentum in hiring workflows.
• Coordinate with hiring managers and candidates to manage next steps, facilitate interviews, collect feedback, and drive outstanding actions to closure.
• Manage all candidate communications, including introductions, interview scheduling, updates, and follow-ups, ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
• Maintain accurate records of candidate statuses, pipeline stages, and all recruiting documentation for up-to-date tracking and reporting.
• Support standard recruiting activities, such as job postings, proactive sourcing, candidate outreach, and initial screening.
• Continuously improve recruiting workflows, tracking systems, and operational processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Attend and represent the company at recruiting events in San Francisco approximately every two weeks (with potential to increase to weekly), helping turn new connections into active candidate pipelines.

Required Qualifications & Technical Criteria

• Demonstrated background in operations, talent acquisition, or a similar role.
• General understanding of candidate sourcing and recruitment processes.
• Exceptional self-management skills, especially in remote work settings.
• Strong stakeholder communication abilities with demonstrated experience collaborating with hiring managers and candidates.
• Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM tools, and recruitment software.
• Meticulous attention to detail in candidate recordkeeping and process documentation.
• Ability to thrive within a high-velocity remote workflow, juggling multiple priorities and shifting demands.
• Based in or near San Francisco to easily attend regular in-person recruiting events.

Preferred Experience & Bonus Attributes

• Experience representing companies at networking events, career fairs, or industry meetups.
• Working knowledge of recruiting operations for high-growth tech companies or startups.

Compensation, Remote Eligibility & Schedule

• Compensation Band: $35 - $55/hour
