ZR Talent Group is recruiting a qualified Remote Personal Finance Expert (Canada) — AI Research & Domain Evaluation for a 100% remote contract opportunity ($90 - $110/hour) open to candidates across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa. In this specialist engagement, you will collaborate with advanced AI research teams to design domain-specific evaluation scenarios, audit complex model reasoning, and establish gold-standard reference solutions in Finance Background, Document Handling, Rubric Evaluation, Troubleshooting.

Prior experience building machine learning systems is not required—our research partners value authentic practitioner judgment, domain rigor, and clear analytical writing.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Complete authentic personal finance workflow tasks using securely linked Canadian bank accounts, ensuring all personal information is redacted for downstream use.
• Exercise seasoned professional judgment on topics like RRSPs, TFSAs, FHSAs, mortgages, savings plans, and CRA personal tax filing, providing clear written explanations.
• Critically review and evaluate model-generated financial guidance against established rubrics, delivering concise, constructive feedback to improve model quality.
• Verify and interpret financial documentation, illustrating how Canadian consumers and advisors manage registered accounts, tax deadlines, and household financial decisions.
• Support the creation and refinement of evaluation rubrics and grading criteria relevant to personal finance guidance and outputs.
• Remain current with updates to Canadian tax, registered account, and savings regulations as they pertain to project deliverables.

Required Qualifications & Technical Criteria

• Demonstrated professional or advanced academic background in Finance Background, Document Handling, Rubric Evaluation, Troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical writing and critical evaluation skills in English.
• Self-directed work ethic suited for an asynchronous, 100% remote research environment.

Preferred Experience & Bonus Attributes

• Professional designations such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) in addition to Canadian credentials.
• Active standing in Canadian credentials (CFP, QAFP, CIM, PFP, CPA).
• Demonstrated background in rubric-based evaluation, model output review, or AI system training projects.
• Demonstrated ability to draft assessment guidelines, rubrics, or scoring criteria for complex financial topics.
• Exceptional communication skills, with proven ability to explain technical financial concepts to a variety of audiences.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in banking, wealth management, financial advising, accounting, or tax planning specific to Canadian households.
• Comfort with securely connecting personal Canadian bank accounts via Plaid (with all PII redacted before use).
