Remote Junior Software Engineer — AI Research & Domain Evaluation

ZR Talent Group is recruiting a qualified Remote Junior Software Engineer — AI Research & Domain Evaluation for a 100% remote contract opportunity ($150 - $200/hour) open to candidates across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa. In this specialist engagement, you will collaborate with advanced AI research teams to design domain-specific evaluation scenarios, audit complex model reasoning, and establish gold-standard reference solutions in System Design, Code Review, Debugging, Algorithms.

Prior experience building machine learning systems is not required—our research partners value authentic practitioner judgment, domain rigor, and clear analytical writing.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Assess and benchmark model-generated code for correctness, quality, and design
• Write challenging coding problems, reference solutions, and test cases
• Review model reasoning on architecture, debugging, and system design
• Provide detailed technical feedback to improve model performance

Required Qualifications & Technical Criteria

• Demonstrated professional or advanced academic background in System Design, Code Review, Debugging, Algorithms.
• Strong analytical writing and critical evaluation skills in English.
• Self-directed work ethic suited for an asynchronous, 100% remote research environment.

Preferred Experience & Bonus Attributes

• At least one year of experience as a software engineer at a top technology company, with at least part of this experience within the past 3 years
• Based in an English-speaking country
• Ability to explain technical decisions clearly in writing
