Remote German Transcription Expert — AI Research & Domain Evaluation

We are seeking a detail-oriented Remote German Transcription Expert — AI Research & Domain Evaluation ($20 - $30/hour, 100% remote) to join ZR Talent Group. Contributors in this role draw upon real-world mastery of german language proficiency, audio transcription, attention to detail, linguistic annotation to evaluate AI-generated deliverables, construct detailed grading rubrics, and guide post-training model alignment.

Prior experience building machine learning systems is not required—our research partners value authentic practitioner judgment, domain rigor, and clear analytical writing.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Listen to and accurately transcribe audio content in German, ensuring fidelity to original meaning, tone, and context.
• Review and edit transcripts for adherence to linguistic and stylistic guidelines.
• Annotate transcripts with relevant metadata, such as speaker identification, timestamps, or context cues as required by project specifications.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to clarify ambiguous content and resolve linguistic uncertainties.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on transcriptions, ensuring high standards of accuracy and consistency.
• Provide insightful feedback to improve transcription processes and guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle project data securely according to compliance protocols.

Required Qualifications & Technical Criteria

• Demonstrated professional or advanced academic background in german language proficiency, audio transcription, attention to detail, linguistic annotation.
• Strong analytical writing and critical evaluation skills in English.
• Self-directed work ethic suited for an asynchronous, 100% remote research environment.

• Native-level proficiency in German, with clear understanding of regional dialects and variations.
• Demonstrable experience in transcription, linguistics, or related language-focused work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
