Remote FreeCAD Expert — AI Research & Domain Evaluation

ZR Talent Group has an active remote opening for a Remote FreeCAD Expert — AI Research & Domain Evaluation ($40 - $80/hour). This flexible work-from-home role pairs experienced practitioners in freecad, mechanical engineering, multi-part cad assembly analysis, technical writing with leading machine learning laboratories to author high-difficulty prompts, verify factual and technical rigor, and refine multi-step reasoning outputs.

Prior experience building machine learning systems is not required—our research partners value authentic practitioner judgment, domain rigor, and clear analytical writing.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Author objective, precise, and non-guessable question-and-answer sets based on multi-part CAD assemblies provided in native FreeCAD format.
• Analyze complex mechanical designs, focusing on geometry, assembly relations, and engineering function to craft several technical questions per assembly.
• Ensure each question has an exact, verifiable answer that requires application of domain expertise.
• Deliver high-quality written content, demonstrating clarity and technical accuracy in both questions and answers.
• Collaborate asynchronously via written and verbal communication to clarify requirements, review feedback, and iterate on deliverables.
• Document insights or ambiguities encountered during the authoring process to support continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Technical Criteria

• Demonstrated professional or advanced academic background in freecad, mechanical engineering, multi-part cad assembly analysis, technical writing.
• Strong analytical writing and critical evaluation skills in English.
• Self-directed work ethic suited for an asynchronous, 100% remote research environment.

Preferred Experience & Bonus Attributes

• Extensive background in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or industrial design with strong foundational CAD knowledge.
• Significant experience working with multi-part assemblies and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of FreeCAD or comparable CAD platforms; direct FreeCAD experience is a plus but not a strict requirement.
• Proficiency in communicating complex technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats.
• Demonstrated ability to author detailed technical questions or training material for engineering applications.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to producing objective, assessment-ready content.
• Profile consistent with an expert or consultant who values accuracy and clarity in technical communication.
