Remote CAD Expert — AI Research & Domain Evaluation

ZR Talent Group has an active remote opening for a Remote CAD Expert — AI Research & Domain Evaluation ($80 - $150/hour). This flexible work-from-home role pairs experienced practitioners in AutoCAD, AutoDesk, Fusion 360, FreeCAD with leading machine learning laboratories to author high-difficulty prompts, verify factual and technical rigor, and refine multi-step reasoning outputs.

Prior experience building machine learning systems is not required—our research partners value authentic practitioner judgment, domain rigor, and clear analytical writing.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Provide expert feedback on manufacturing processes and techniques, drawing on hands-on CAD experience (CAM and CNC workflows especially welcome).
• Review, assess, and refine model-generated content and recommendations relevant to manufacturing workflows.
• Construct and verify detailed rubrics for evaluating manufacturing process accuracy and efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Technical Criteria

• Hands-on experience with any CAD platform (e.g. Fusion 360, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Onshape, Inventor, CATIA, Creo).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and detail.

Preferred Experience & Bonus Attributes

• Practical background using Autodesk tools, particularly Fusion 360 or AutoCAD.
• Experience using coding agents and Python.
• Background in CAM, CNC machining, or digital manufacturing workflows.
• Working knowledge of AI tools (LLMs, generative design, AI-assisted workflows) and comfort evaluating AI output.
• Experience developing or applying process evaluation rubrics.

• Compensation is output-based; experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications. The time required to complete work may vary depending on the expert’s experience and workflow. Minimum submission requirements apply. Experts must submit a minimum of tasks per week.

• We typically fill roles within 48 hours and are looking for experts ready to jump in right away. If selected, we expect you to start your first tasks within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding.
