Head of Communications — Enterprise AI Solutions & Strategy

ZR Talent Group has an active remote opening for a Head of Communications — Enterprise AI Solutions & Strategy ($250,000 - $400,000/year). This flexible work-from-home role pairs experienced practitioners in PR, Vendor Management, Partnerships, Communications Strategy with leading machine learning laboratories to author high-difficulty prompts, verify factual and technical rigor, and refine multi-step reasoning outputs.

Prior experience building machine learning systems is not required—our research partners value authentic practitioner judgment, domain rigor, and clear analytical writing.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Own and execute the company's external communications and PR strategy.
• Build relationships with journalists, creators, analysts, and industry influencers.
• Secure earned media across digital, print, broadcast, podcasts, and social channels.
• Develop messaging for product launches, partnerships, company announcements, and executive communications.
• Position company leaders through interviews, speaking engagements, bylines, and media opportunities.
• Prepare executives with messaging, briefing materials, and media coaching.
• Manage external PR agencies and communications partners.
• Lead crisis and rapid-response communications when needed.

Required Qualifications & Technical Criteria

• Significant experience leading communications or PR for high-growth technology companies.
• Exceptional writing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills.
• Proven success securing top-tier media coverage and building lasting press relationships.
• Experience leading communications for product launches and major company announcements.
• Strong strategic judgment with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling narratives.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Preferred
• Demonstrated background in AI, developer tools, enterprise software, or B2B SaaS.
• Working knowledge of AI and emerging technologies.
• Experience working with distributed teams.
• Crisis communications experience.
• Compensation & Benefits Notice
• The national pay range for this full-time position is base salary of $150,000 –$200,000. All employees are eligible for equity compensation, and employees may also receive performance-based bonuses, dependent on role and subject to company policies.
